Too many repeated questions on here. If someone has a question I think they should search it up before reposting to see if its already been asked. I'm sure you can find an answer to your questions 😊

We've kind of already discussed this. A lot of people may ask about the best hair color for them, but they are each different, as in skin tone, eye color ECT. The search bar brings up completely unrelated stuff. So it's kind of pointless to use it. Googling will also not bring up things you may be looking for specifically , Beautylish is for personalized beauty questions, any beauty questions. If we all just searched google, Beautylish wouldn't be needed. But once again, googling doesn't being up personalized answers!

what Isabel said..

No I do not mean personal questions like what color should I dye my hair..etc...I mean questions such a "cheap pink lipsticks?" Or is a specific eyeshadow palette worth buying...stuff like that

I see what she is saying...like the "best brand of brushes" question or the "best type of foundations for" questions.

Yes I do get that! We do see a lot about the naked palettes and stuff like that.

Honestly I much prefer repeat questions like that to repeat "which picture?" Or repeat "outfit game first 7 💘💕💞💙💋💖💬💓💞💙💗💕💌💓💘" but that could just be me.

But then again, Ninety nine percent of the questions in here involve personalization! Best brushes for sensitive skin, best foundations for a skin type, you know?

I have to kind of laugh when reading these threads to ladies because we also have this question repeated about once or twice a week about repeated questions :-) I do understand.

Lol @hannah seriously can we stop with the freaking outfit games!?

Wish beautylish can fix the search bar/engine and give better search results

Eh, I don't really get bothered by it much. In fact, I find it's usually different people answering those generic questions each time, so different opinions and products discussed are brought up. Like Isabel stated, google isn't personalized so beautylish is a great community to expand our knowledge while also getting questions about ourselves answered.

Selina I just think that Polyvore is for Polyvore! Like it's one thing to make an outfit if someone says "what should I wear to...?" But it's an entirely other thing to have outfit games which basically equate to "let me make you a totally useless outfit because I'm bored." The real problem I have with that is that people are PASSING OVER the actual questions to do the outfit games, which is just ridiculous and defeats the purpose of Beautylish.

Alma- haha right? The irony of this whole situation is pretty laughable.

There will always be repeated questions as
- new people join Beautylish everyday with questions.
- Others are not on Beautylish as frequently so they will have no clue to what questions have been asked.
-Its a lot less time consuming to post a question of interest than search through hundreds of previous posts with hopes of finding an answer
-some of the repeats are computer glitches
-You don't necessarily know the question in a post by just viewing the title alone, so at times you don't realize youve just repeated a question thats been asked
-and some people are bored and just wanna talk regardless if they know its repeated:-)

I agree the search bar is pointless. I just posted something about coconut oil for my hair. I definitely searched before and as Isabel said it shows a ton of unrelated posts. It does this for 99% of things I search.

The search on the actual website is infinitely better, if that's an option for any of you :)

All I have to add is if you can't deal with the repeated questions on here that are just the minimum of what me and jackie see all day here on Beautylish with the huge amount of questions that are a constant lol you would go nuts,I have the patience and understanding that we are growing and everyday this wonderful site is a great deal to new people who have joined and I'm here to help. How ever I do understand the games are a bit out of hand.

I've tried the search bar and never find what I'm looking for, not in talk or photos.
