File off the left over glue, and then use a strengthener. You can get it anywhere like at Sally's.

Another tip is garlic hardens nails. You can buy garlic nail polish or DIY (add garlic cloves to clear polish and let sit for a week.) the smell can be gotten rid of with an apple cider vinegar rinse
