I've been eyeing them up for awhile but I can't figure out if I should splurge on the actual beauty blender or save and get the cheaper ones from ulta or target. Thanks girls!

go for the real thing. the Sonia kashuk is hard as a rock. I haven't found a cheaper version that works as well

its an egg shaped makeup sponge that you use damp to stipple on foundation or cream blush

I personally love the MAC all blending sponge. Its soft and easy to use plus its not expensive for a nice pink all blending sponge. I use it on my bridal clients so that it smooths out the look of foundation.
