So this is me , and I'm really curious if light hair would suit my skin complection. Would lighter hair seriously damage my hair?

I went blonde and light brown a little while ago and it completely destroyed my hair and my hair is healthily an tough also it didn't suit my skin tone or my facial features I think your absolutely stunning!! You do what ever you want to do but I love your hair the way it is now

I think either a medium brown, or a deep red would look great with your skintone. And since you have such dark hair which looks like it's almost black or is black I can't tell, but if you wanted to go lighter it'd be difficult. You would have to bleach your hair until it was light enough for you. And then if you ever wanted to go back to your original color it will be really hard because going from black or almost black to a lighter color, then back to your original color will really damage your hair. But if you do decide to dye your hair lighter or red, or whatever you decide to do I recommend l'oreal hi color hilights for dark hair. I have medium brown hair and I used it to dye my hair red and because I have longer hair I needed two boxes. So also keep that in mind with your hair length and thickness.

Also the hair dye has bleach in it but not enough to damage your hair. It's a very small amount.

Hair color doesn't have bleach, but hair lightener does. I think your complexion can carry many looks, but the thing you need too remember is to take it in steps! Assuming that is your natural hair (no previous color or chemical treatments) it will be a lot easier to achieve the lighter look without any serious damage or complications. Be sure to consult with your stylist and see someone you trust! They should recommend doing this in steps (so realize it may take multiple visits to create that look) and remind you the amount of appointments you will need to maintain it, and also how to change your hair regimen to keep the integrity and health of your hair (: I would also bring pictures to better show the color you wish to achieve because you may not even need to lighten with bleach, you can lift with professional hair color if you are just going a shade or so lighter (and will also help cut back on cost)! Hope this has helped and have fun exploring color ;D

Oh and one of my fav professional hair color and care line right now is Wella and Sebastian ;)
