I want to start my freelance career but I don't know how much I have to charge my customers for a make up look. I use all MAC Products.
Thank you

Hi..
do you have a portfolio yet?
if you don't than I suggest working on friends and getting examples of the makeup type of you can do. If you are just starting then I recommend $35.00 to start with and charge travel fees. slowly when you have done some work then increase your price accordingly. maybe $85.00 for bridal and then $50.00 for bridesmaid or extra people.

I'm not sure where you'll be working so that should be taken into consideration when charging..
But, @nadine those prices are wayyyyy too cheap.
When I began I never went lower then $50- that's how much mac charges for a full face. That's about average to begin.
Since I have more experience now I've bumped it up to a minimum of 75 depending on the event.
You have to take yourself seriously as an artist even when you're just beginning. Just cause you're new and nervous doesn't mean you should be charging low prices- your kit especially all mac is not cheap to build, your time and what it costs for you to travel. Plus if this is going to become your means of income you need to account for enough money to live on assuming you book numerous gigs..
Just my opinion :)
