Lizeth let me clear something up I respect an admire these 2 ladies (jaqueline and alma) and to ME (not you) what they say goes I realy realy wanted to hear what these ladies had to say there thoughts and opinions really matter to me, that does not mean that no one else can't come and give there input cuz they are more then welcome to do so, I could care less if there is other ladies that know more or that might know a lot I was wondering specifically what these beautiful ladies thoughts were on this, and if you arent going to take the time to read the thread why would you post anything at all when you don't know what's being talked about yet alone post something negative, like alma said you can disagree and express your self but to talk shit is a different thing lizeth don't get it twisted

Lili, I think this is a great topic :) Now my passion in life is for dance, not makeup, but hopefully I can still give you some helpful advice. I think the most important things have been said; if it's what you want to do, go for it, whether the odds are in your favor or not. They certainly aren't for me, and I still have a long way to go before I reach my goals, but every step along the way is so worth it. The things you are passionate about are not random; they are your calling.
For a long time, I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer. I gave it all the time, money, and effort I had. But I wasn't happy. It was scary and kind of sad to realize that I had invested everything in a dream I wasn't interested in anymore, but at the same time, it was a relief to get rid of that pressure of having to be something I'm not. My friend told me something I will never forget: "Sometimes on the way to a dream, you get lost and find a better one." And that's okay! Be open to where life takes you. Following your heart does not and will not make you a bad mom. Your son will always be the most important thing to you, and choosing a career that makes you happy does not change that.

I've been following this entire conversation, and Lizeth, I really think you need to back off. Even if you "talk $&@@" all the time, that doesn't mean everyone knows you don't mean it or that it's even appropriate. You're not ignorant because you dislike this type of thread, youre ignorant because you refuse to respect Lili's opinion and question. Honestly, if this type of thing bothers you THAT much, why did you even open it and comment and continue to comment? And just so you know, this topic was not intended for you to rant, this was intended to help a girl who is inspired by beautylishs moderators and their passion. If you still cannot understand that, I highly suggest you stop commenting and making her feel like shes unwanted or her question was unwanted.
@Lili, I'm really glad you posted this topic because I was wondering the same sort of things. I love makeup but I'm terrified of not being able to support myself or future self/family. This topic has really opened my eyes to makeup artistry as a profession.

Lizzy thats was absolutely beautiful and inspiring, and thats also one thong I'm scared of investing MONEY and TIME on something that in the end I'm a say what am I doing, but your words were truly inspiring what hit me the most was " don't ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive, because what the world needs is people who have come alive" and your right and if I experiment with makeup and decide thats what I want to do thats going to set me apart because I'm ALIVE at what I do thanks lizzy I can't thank you enough for those beautiful words and your story

Ladies so yesterday I talked to my hubby and told him if he would support me with the career of being a makeup artist and he said yes that it doesn't matter what career I take he would support me mentally and financially on what he could long as I take on a career, this made me happy cuz that leaves my options opened now all I need to do is look for the right path, I'm a experiment with makeup like jaqueline and alma said and see if thats where my heart and soul is at thank you ladies for all your beautiful comments this has meant a lot to me.
