I believe the st tropez has a green tint to it to counter act any orange. I understood that it washed away after you shower. maybe some of the other girls have more experience w it

Yea Danny is on point. some false tanners have a green undertone, this counteracts the 'orange' look. its supposed to give you a more natural olive tone

That is strange. What creates the color is the result of the chemical reaction between the active ingredient colliding with proteins under skin. Depending on skin turnover is the length of time your color lasts. I've tried them all and have had great results and not so great results but never turned green. Exfoliate, exfoliate...

I've used various self-tanners on the market. Some you can't even find in your local Sephora or Walgreens for that matter. I've St. Tropez and tanners marketed for body building competitors (something I used to do as a figure bb) and my skin never looked green after removal. What Annmarie mentions about active ingredients going to battle under the skin surface is truth. You have to exfoliate before application and after. Another thing you must consider...some skin will just react like that regardless and has nothing to do with the product itself. :(

Ok thanks another I've used doesn't make me green but I've got two full bottles of the fancy stuff I dare not use. Will exfoliate harder and scrub it off after as advised thanks ladies 😃
