So in one semester I will be transfering from my community college to a full private school, and finishing my bachelors in fine arts. But! I refuse to leave my makeup at home, I know for a fact that I can make some money doing makeup for girls in the dorm for parties and such, can anyone recommend some aesthetically pleasing storage solutions for a dorm, whether it's small drawers, or inserts for the already provided dressers?

I use the deep drawer organizers from The Container Store for my makeup organizing. (I keep mine in a dresser.)
These are the ones I use...

When I was still living in a dorm room, I had hardly any makeup so I just tossed everything in a Caboodle. But if I were to move into a dorm with the collection I have now, I'd get those drawer dividers Shelly suggested. For my large palettes, I'd do what I do now-- I have a cardboard box that I covered in fabric. You can buy a fancier, pre-made box, but I like to make my own. You can stick a covered box on a shelf and it looks like a decorative piece, not just storage.

If you have an Ikea what about a Helmer? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40107872/

Are you looking for cheap furniture? Try cardboard furniture! You can decorate it, and throw it away when you move out. It's cheap so you don't feel guilty.

Oh my goodness, thank you all for your suggestions! I'm hoping to try out the dresser dividers, and possibly keeping my more used makeup in an easily accessible box.

Post a picture of what you end up with, I'd love to see. And congrats on transferring/finishing your degree!

I have a laptop sleeve that I use to store my mascara, mineral shadows, mineral foundation and bareMinerals brushes in my closet. I have my palletes on top of my dresser and other smaller items (nail polish, konad, enas, jewelry, watches) in the first drawer of my dresser.

I use the deep clear plastic pull out drawers like everyone has been suggesting :) I just found that it was so hard to access my pallets! So I started using the small DVD holders for them and it's SO much easier for them!
