What is the best face wash to use in order to get rid of black heads for combination skin? I've been using the Garnier Exfo Brusher and it does the job, but it really dries out my skin.

Make sure you are using a moisturizer after washing, I use CeraVe. I also love using Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask

I'm a huge fan of pore strips. They don't work for everyone, but they work for me. I also get a lot of blackheads, but because of my Clarisonic, they've reduced drastically in the last 9 months or so. The Clarisonic works by using sonic vibrations to loosen the blackheads and other gunk clogging your pores. I'd also suggest you get facials monthly, as the estheticians can extract your blackheads for you.

Thanks guys, but yeah that's the thing, I don't like using moisturizer after washing my face because then my oily spots get oily 10x faster... Should I just Moisturize in the spots that are dry after washing my face and leave my nose and forehead alone (those are the oiliest spots on my face)?

Also, are you using a moisturizer afterwards?? Because that's extremely important.

Nooooo you need to moisturize. Your skin is compensating for that lack by producing more oil! If you apply moisturizer, in a few days your skin should adjust and stop producing as much oil. Also, oil free formulas are your friend.

Yes always moisturize! You will be glad you did in the long run... You just have to find one best for your skin but do not skip because that can actually make your skin more oily

And moisturize your whole face, just look for an oil free moisturizer

Make sure you find a water based moisturizer instead of an oil one

If Garnier Exfo helps your skin, I'd suggest you still use it and just put an oil free moisturizer with SPF after every use ;) You should actually use an oil-free moisturizer with SPF daily ;)!

Gentle steaming can open pores and losen blackheads without over drying :) exfoliation will also help, so you could use a gentle oil and honey scrub, pore strips, or if you prefer a natural method, 1tbsp of milk and 1 tbsp of unflavoured gelatine mixed microwave for 10 sec apply to areas where there are blackheads (comedones) wait for it to dry and peel off :)
