Yeah very easily just wrap your hair around the barrel without using the clamp that how I curl my hair! Xoxox

It depends how curly you want your hair and your hair type. If you have thick hair do small sections for like 10-15 seconds if you have medium to thin hair do like 1 inch sections for 5-10 seconds depending on what kind of curls you want the longer you hold the more curly it will be! Hope this helps!

I've removed the clamp off a few curling irons, there are tons of videos on YouTube on how to do it.
