The label has caught on so much, the quality of MAC has gone down SO much it's sad. Yes MAC is a good brand but I totally agree. <3

I must feel differently about MAC, I love it. I have used other products but it works great for me. They are one of the few brands that have my shade of foundation for my color and I love the quality of it. I'm still exploring other brands but I still love MAC!

with anything people are brand crazy even if it isn't good the name still carries weight. it's stupid,but it's our society.just like the chicks who buy MAC and think just because they have it they're better,prettier, or know how to do make up...like seriously girl get out of here.

I'll be one of the few that says MAC has worked rather well for me through out my life. I like MAC. I'll ALWAYS like MAC. But I would never consider it the best brand nor will it ever overflow in my collection, but I don't see any reason to diss the brand knowing that it works well for other people.

I completely agree with your statement. M.A.C is trendy and many clients ask if you are using M.A.C first on their list of brands you are using. Personally I do not only stick to M.A.C I use combination of brands because not everything M.A.C has works for me. But I like their concealers the studio fix and studio fix foundation. Besides that there are many other high quality brands that are as good as M.A.C.

I'm not saying that I don't like MAC, I have quite a bit if the their products some I love and some I hate. I'm saying I hate that nowadays I feel that people are just buying MAC because they think its "in" or whatever. Basically buying it for the label.

I used MAC now and absolutely LOVE it. I guess it depends on the person. For me I use their foundation. Since I have very dark skin and I need full coverage they have a shade that is flawless for me. I have tried all the shades in makeup forever but try too are a stage makeup company and the coverage is too heavy. I use everything else that's cheaper, but at least for me I have to have a good foundation, it just throws the look off if its not right. I tried revlon, covergirl, iman. You name it i tried it. MAC makes a mean foundation. Ill give them that. I use target for all my other makeup,lol.

I would say that it is not the best brand out there, but it is the most accessible. Mac's prices are somewhere between that of the drugstore and the rest of the high end brands, making it affordable for many other people. Personally, I enjoy MAC's permanent collection more because they are the best quality. Their lipsticks are my favorite thus far, heh heh

omg have been saying this for years now Im over MAC they were my first high end brand. I love MUFE and many more. I'll get their LE stuff sometimes but that's it.

I find that when I tell people I am a makeup artist but I've never worked for Mac they question my credibility. Even though I have worked with so many amazing brands like Lancôme, Nars, MUFE, Chanel...etc. MAC is a great brand, but you are all right. It isn't everything.
