Hey everyone, so I've been using cetaphil face wash forever cause I have crazy sensitive skin and so far it's the only thing that doesn't irritate me. The only thing is that it doesn't remove makeup whatsoever! I'm looking for an alternative that's unscented, hypoallergenic, not drying and actually removes makeup! Any suggestions?

Well, my suggestion would be to check out the Burt's Bees line. If you'd like to keep using Cetaphil, try the Burt's Bees wipes. They have a sensitive formula, they're hypoallergenic, and they do dry a bit but if you wash afterwards it isn't a problem. Do you use a moisturizer?

I also have insanely sensitive skin. For me the only thing that has worked is Simple Skincare line. Check out their Gel Cleanser, Gentle Toner, and Hydrating Light Moisturizer. Those products are what I use everyday and I love them plus they're cheap!

Yes I have a religious skincare routine. I already use makeup remover first that works great, then I use my clarisonic with cetaphil... But I just want a face wash that will break down any leftover makeup the wipes may have missed and cetaphil doesn't do that

My advice would be to use Organic Virgin Coconut oil. It's not the best to use over your eyes all the time because you have to be careful to not get it in your eye. It's all natural but since it's an oil it could build up in your eye if you aren't be careful and cause infection. It's quite unlikely that this would happen but it's still possible. Coconut oil will definitely remove any leftover makeup plus it's extremely gentle and moisturizing on the skin.

The Kiehls Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser is incredible. I have sensitive/slightly dry skin and this works wonders for me. It keeps your face so clean and will even remove some makeup, but it is not at all drying and almost lotiony in texture. Totally worth the price.

I use Burt's Bees sensitive! 99.9 percent natural! I haven't had any breakouts! I also only wash my face once a day, before bed. I wake up and rinse my face with coconut oil, no soaps. It's been working great for me! I found out that even when I had acne using those harsh chemicals on my face only irritated the acne. I stopped about a month ago using all that stuff and just switched to natural things. It's so weird that it has completely cleared me of my cystic acne! Don't forget to moisturize! Even though the coconut oil helps. I have very dry skin. I use Physicians Formula, enriched dry skin. It's hypoallergenic. & it has vitamin A, D & E in it!

If you don't have problems with oil you might be able to use baby oil to remove makeup before you wash your face.

The Body Shop sells a balm that is meant for cleansing your face and removes makeup beautifully. Look for the chamomile cleansing balm. Clinique also sells one called "Take the day off" and it works in the same way. Balms are great at removing makeup and moisturizes your skin at the same time; you don't have to use a lot to get the result that you want. Currently I use Neutrogena ultra gentle daily cleanser and it does work to remove makeup! If you do use this, I recommend using a moisturizer afterwards.
