I am of the darker skin complexion and I'm having a hard time finding a shade of lipstick to suit my tone of skin. I usually do a dark purple but it's not an everyday color I can wear. Any suggestions?

I bought so many mac lipsticks recently, you should look into colors like up the amp or flat out fabulous.. Looks great on dark skin. Also orangey red and browns look good.

sugar plum fairy (can be dark pink or plum depending on how much you build it or line it)
- cherry bomb (dark red)
-Ravin raisin (good deep pink)
- mochalicious (good nude for dark skin. What I'm wearing in the pic with a brown liner)
-cherry pickin (red)

As a woman of color you have to make some colors work by applying a darker lip liner or a brown lipliner to make the transition from our skin to the lipcolor less harsh

Symone is completely right. I am medium/olive toned, and I know I'm not dark but lipsticks with deeper, rich colors make your skin look stunning. Deep berry/wine colors like sugar plum fairy will be amazing! Also try Revlons vava violet!
