Use a shirt to scrunch hair when wet n then don't touch it again! I don't put any products in my hair and I use the baking soda curly girl method. I do use lots of oils and do treatments once a week! This week I did a mix of passion fruit oil coconut oil, honey and lime :) hope this helps

You can also try blow drying it before straightening it. You can also buy a smoothing brush. Even try a keratin treatment, they can last for months.
