Sometimes after wearing mascara for a while my lashes start to hurt/ feel hard. Has/does this happened to any of you and is there a way to prevent it.

This has happened to me and it was because with my eye lash curler I was pinching my lashes to hard.

Mine have been like that before sometimes when I touch them the hair hurts at the root by the eye. I'm not really sure why, maybe a slight reaction to the mascara.

Its probably your mascara or you irritated that part like @Anja said maybe you put to much pressure when you curl them.

It happens to me and my mascara is new and I have been using the same brand for a while now. When that happens I wash my eyes with baby shampoo in the night and it doesn't hurt anymore. It can be due to oil buildup from makeup and such or dirt in the eyelash base.

Yes it happens to me after wearing mascara for a while it will start to sting my eyes just at the root of the eyelashes, it usually happens when I'm tired and the mascara weighs down my eyes and feels heavy, it also feels worse because I can't rub my eyes unless I want panda eyes x

Agree with the ladies it might be your mascara, you might want to see your eye doctor and tell them what's going on.

That happens to me a couple of years ago. It was because of the formula of the mascara, hard and heavy. I changed to light weight mascara like the colossal and the falsies from maybelline and never happen again.

I noticed that with any mascaras containing building fibers. The last one was butterfly effects

Waterproof mascara can actually make your lashes fall out if you have sensitive or dry skin and very thin/fine hair - so its best to stay away from it or tubing mascara - the skin holding your lashes probably hurts because the mascara is weighing down the eyelash hair so it feels heavy and probably those lashes are about ready to fall out - try dryer eyelash formulas like benefit's bad gal instead.
