How do I get a internship in the makeup industry?

Hi Girls,
For almost 3 years, I've been obsessed with makeup and perfecting the art. I'm passionate about being a makeup artist,and having my own makeup line in the future.I know I have a lot to learn but I would love to shadow/intern for a makeup artist. The only thing that's really holding me back from following my dream is the fact that I'm only 14 almost 15. Do you guys have any advice on what I could do.

You just have to know the right people. I met this lady through my dad who does makeup and she offered me a job as her assistant! So it really heavily depends on that. But you could also do some research on some makeup artists in your area and ask if they want interns.

I'm 14 as well and I also have an interest and passion for makeup! One thing that I would do is actually look into finding some makeup artists that really inspire you or that have been very successful and just find a way to contact them, maybe a letter or email. If you send them an email just explaining your interests they might tell you how they got started or what they did to become successful. It'll never hurt to be bold! Also, some are probably very busy and will not get back to you, but don't give up! Try contacting local makeup artists and big-time artists as well. You never know what advice might come your way just by putting yourself out there!! Hope that this helped..xoxo.
