I usually paint my nails every 2 days and I get a professional manicure once a month to help keep my nails looking good. I am a cashier so I am constantly having to repaint my nails about every 2 days because I can't stand chipped polish. My job also causes my hands to dry out so I try to constantly use my AVEENO hand lotion to help add moisture back into my hands.

I used to paint my nails almost everyday but I realized that it was ridiculous trying to match my nail polish to my outfit everyday. I usually paint them once or twice a week, not counting repairs, chipping or peeling off.

Try and paint your nails every week because that's a pretty good time range to do your nails.
Use a 100% pure acetone to remove your polish, even though it leaves a white residue on your nails and fingers, with one hand wash and lotion it'll go away like it was never there. And it's also really quick to remove the polish, so if your in a hurry, use acetone.
After using the acetone it's best to wash your hands and apply lotion.
Then apply a base coat if you wish. Personally, I don't.
Then apply one coat of your polish on all your finger nails and then apply a second coat of the polish. Never leave it with just one coat, looks tacky and cheap. Then to finish it all off apply a top coat. I never ever fail to apply a top coat even though I neglect the base.
The top coat leaves a beautiful shine. ❤

I currently have an acrylic overlay. I don't have tips, it's just my real nails with an acrylic overlay. I get a touch up every two weeks. My nails have never grown so fast!

I used to apply warm olive oil to my cuticles and then use salt to exfoliate but I dont anymore even though it worked anazing for me. I'm looking for a cuticle balm to keep in my purse. (:
