The Hourglass Ambient Lightning powders are amazing- they have several different colors depending on what effect you want but they all leave you radiant!

Kelsey do you know how they are if you have oily skin vs using a matte powder?
Jan 7, 2014

@Heather...I have several of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders and I have oily skin. They really don't act as a setting powder or give you a matte finish at all. Nor do they act as blotting powder. Its number one job is just give your skin the effect of being in soft lighting. For example, I have "dim light" and it blurs out my enlarged pores and gives my face a nice even glow when applied all over with my Bobbi Brown sheer brush. Luminous light acts as a perfect highlighter as it contains a champaign shimmer.

Thanks Shelley! Much appreciated... Was curious bcuz one of the reviewers on Sephora said they preferred how it keeps their shine away all day compared to the BM Matte they were using...

Lol!! Keep shine away!? I think they might be exaggerating a bit. But everyone's skin is different so maybe it works for her as an oil controller but my experience it doesn't work like that. I do like the fact that it doesn't look cakey on the face since its so finely milled. You should check it out. :)

I have combo skin with a very oily t-zone. I have both dim and diffused light and definitely feel that they set my foundation and control oil production.

You could try Too Faced Candlelight Powder As long as you blot it or dab it on. If you wipe it on like I see a lot of girls do, it might be too much "radiance". Test it out at Sephora.

@Sarah- I've seen that at COS before- not sure if you've checked there.
