I use a really cheap Dutch drugstore brand and it works just as good for me as the more expensive ones. I think it depends more on your technique than the products you use.

I use Maybelline pencil to outline the bottom perimeter of my brow & then I use Tarte Brow Mousse to fill in the rest. I think the mousse brow product gives a much more natural look than a pencil alone which can be harsh and a powder which can look too dry.
