I'm doing it in college and I find being able to have someone to ask questions/do demonstrations, and watch you as you do it to give you pointers/tips a lot better, which you wouldn't have as much of online

It also gives career opportunities as companies such as decleor and dermalogica come to talk to you and tell you about free trainning days, you get a proffessional card to buy proffessional grade products, and certain employers e.g cruise ships talk to you and you have more opportunity to apply for careers through your college that way.

I wouldn't recommend it. Makeup is such a hands on thing, if you take a course a teacher should be able to watch your technique and help you out
Also if you're just watching online videos, why can't you just go on youtube and learn the same thing?
if the school isn't accredited regardless its a waste, it needs to be accredited in order for the certificate to mean anything and to be able to receive pro cards.
and if you can work with only a certificate in makeup where you live, that means you can be a self taught artist- I.e you don't need to go to school.
but if you're set on taking a course, I recommend finding an accredited school that is hands on and in person.

I would rather recommend you to do it from professional studios. You couldn't get practical knowledge from online studying. As a professional makeup artist I would suggest you to join any professional makeup studio.
