Messy bun help!!

So I really can't do a good messy bun. My hair isnt very thick and its like a couple inches past my collarbone. When ever I try to do a messy bun it either looks too flat or I have big layers sticking out! Thanks ladies :)

A messy bun is supposed to be messy!! I use Bobbi pins when prices of hair fall out. This is my messy bun today 😄

Thanks grace! How do you do them though? Mine always stick out the side of my head and look weird.. Do you wrap the hair around itself and then put the elastic around it or loop it through? Sorry if that was phrased weird I don't know how to explain it..

Love your hair!! I've got layers too, and this way is fast, messy and big! Put you hair in a high pony, but don't pull it all the way through on the last pass with your tie. Then, just circle your ends around the base and pin them! I took about half left, and wound the other half right, easy! Your loooooovvvveely hair will look so nice!:D.
