My hair is extremely thick and gets oily so fast!! It's annoying I can barely do nothing with it because it's so much to work with!! How can I work with my hair or at least make it less oily or thick?

How often do you wash it? In terms of getting rid of some of the thickness, you can go to the hair dresser and ask her to thin it for you, that would help.

Goodness woman! thick hair is beautiful! lol. But I guess you can get it thinned out. I'm not quite sure if thats healthy for your hair though. For the oil I do suggest dry shampoo or even baby powder works. Embrace your hair doll. I have thin hair due to medical issues and it sucks.

I have the same problem with my hair being thick and oily but my hair is fine and a way that I made my hair less oily is by using my conditioner before I use my shampoo two days a week and it made my hair a lot less oily hope this helps😊

I used to have really thick hair as well and it's really hard to work with. try getting it cut in layers :)

Agreed, you can always have your hair dresser thin it for you as far as it being thick and try switching your hair products.a switch of shampoo &conditioner will most the time do the trick.

I know exactly what your going through!
My hair was super oily until I used this trick!

What you do is get a small bowl, and you mix shampoo and baking soda together! Then you just put it on your hair as your shampoo! I would do this for the rest of my life!

What the baking soda does is get rid of all the excess oil, it gets rid of dandruff and keeps your hair very healthy, smooth, radiant and clean ;)!

I have the same problem. I got layers because my hair is really thick and I love them! I usually leave my hair down with a headband or up in a ponytail/bun. For oily hair, I would suggest washing your hair with baby shampoo every night. It will keep your hair clean and not oily and because baby shampoo is so gentle it won't dry your hair out!

Your lucky you have thick hair! I use to have super thick hair but as I cut it and died it if got thin and now I barley have any hair. But if it really bothers you you should get layers. To get rid of oiliness you could use baby powder. It works great!

Well you said your hair is thick and oily. But it is well moisturized?? It may be getting oily because it's dry, and thick dry hair is very very hard to stylize.

Don't get it thinned out! its just chopping random spots of your hair and will make it frizzy. maybe layers?

I'd really like to see a picture of your hair, Lia is right. Maybe you have not found the right moisturizing routine. I have super thick hair, horse-like! I know how it could be sometimes inconvenient. Carly is right though. I got it thinned and it got crazy frizzy!

Have it sheared/thinned and layered. Then use a volumizing if it's that oily. The misconception is volumizing shampoos make your hair big, they actually kind of just suck up more oil so your hair isn't all greasy looking.

So for normal hair that's thick, that would just dry you out, but if yours is thick and oily, a volumizing shampoo may help control that. :)
