I agree Mairead. But for me, I had trouble finding drugstore products that were up to par with some higher end products I fell in love with. However, I do have some drugstore products I can't be without. Products like loreal true match, moisturizer, or any loreal mascaras. Maybelline color tattoos and pigments, their eyeliner and lipsticks. I also enjoy elf and sonia kashuk. They are great brands with great products, however it can be tough to find certain products from them sometimes and some people don't have access to them. Aside from that, higher end brands do focus a lot more on quality of packaging, which is a major make or break for some people.

I have 90% drugstore but that's probably because it's just more accessible and easy to get absorbed in. As soon as I see new products displays I become very grabby and before I know it spent $50... Sadly a lot of drugstore makeup I try are duds, but there are some amazing products I've found.

But my favorite products are usually higher end, and mainly because they wear longer and are a lot more pigmented.

I don't count MAC as high end tho, it's more midstream to me. A lot of drugstore liners and lipsticks are around the price range of MAC

I used to be all drugstore but in the past two years I've been fantasizing high end lol. I definitely have way more high end now but then again I buy what I need and don't go overboard. most of the time I ask for high end makeup as gifts for xmas or my bday. I find high end (not all) to be better quality. I pay 10$ but use less. I like to treat myself every so often.
oh and I also work right beside sephora:)

And also I live in quebec and drug store prices are crazy expensive compared to us so for a few extra bucks I get better quality.
