I have my hair red right now using the loreal hicolor hilights in magenta.
if I let it fade to go back to brown, what colors would it turn and how long would it take?

I think it depends on what your color was before you dyed it. Mine was a lighter brown so now after a couple months it's a lighter brown with a reddish tint.

Since your natural is darker than the color it won't fade back to brown, it will most likely fade to a weird red/ orange color. You could fade it faster by washing your hair more frequently, using hot water and dawn dish soap or cheap shampoo. Red fades the fastest but also is the hardest to get out.

How can I get my hair brown. by summer so I'm able to go swimming?

You'll have to color it brown, an ash brown will be your best bet to cancel out any red that remains!

I'll have real dark brown hair , I died mine red with the exact stuff you did. When it faded I hated it! It looked like a natural reddish orange color hair. Like a reddish brown , maybe aburn, I redyed it back brown an it still has a little red tint tho. Oh, The struggle. Lol
