Are there any good clarisonic dupes out there? I really want to try something like the clarisonic out, but it's pretty pricey! also do you have to go back and repurchase new brushes a lot?

There are no 'dupes' to the actual technology behind the clarisonic.
It uses transdermal sonic pulsations to remove dirt deep down, a manual brush or the olay brush or neutrogena wave does not have that same technology.
I am on the same boat as you with the whole spend a lot of money, and spending more to replace a brush head every 3 months. So after looking around a bit I found the Foreo Luna, its more expensive as it as a bit more advanced. However, lots of ex clarisonic users have recently began using it and ended up ditching their clarisonic since their skin has improved. I have used it and I personally feel like if it continues to grow it might put the clarisonic down. And you don't have to replace brush heads, so it turns out cheaper than a clarisonic if you plan on using it for the long run.
I wrote about it in detail on my blog if you'd like to see

They're aren't any dupes but they're are other skin cleaning brushes you can invest in. Okay has one I believe.

@ Kitty..how long have you been using this device?? You seem to have gotten some super fast results. Did your skin go through the purging phase at all?

I agree with Kitty, there are no dupes and any product that claims it's similar is probably not true. I love my Clarisonic and I wouldn't trust my skin to any type of dupe because as Kitty stated, it comes down to the technology which the dupes don't use. They are simply brushes that spin and that can make them pretty harsh on the skin.

I haven't tried the foreo device though. I would love to but I'm not financially able to buy one and my Clarisonic isn't that old yet. If it broke I would be curious to try the forea though. But many people still get great results with the Clarisonic. And yes you do need to replace the brushes after every 3 months. But you can get packs of two or three at a time so it will seem like less often. I don't mind having to get a new one every three months though honestly. I like the feeling of a brand new brush, it's very refreshing lol. I think both devices are good for skin, it seems to be just a matter of personal preference and what one can afford and whichever they happen to hear about first lol. If I had heard of the forea at the time I was considering getting a Clarisonic I would have weighed my options and maybe chose differently but I wasn't aware of it at that time.

I think you should just invest in the actual Clarisonic, it'd save you lots of time, money, and frustration. But if you're not ready to get it just yet, you should try the olay pro-x brush. Its a bit smaller but its good at getting in around your nose and eyes better. I have it and its effin amazing, people tell me how bright and glowing I look all the time. Its about $40 but you can find it cheaper on amazon. Its a great brush but I plan on upgrading to the Clarisonic Plus soon.

Ehh, I wouldn't be using any brush, even the Clarisonic around the eye area. Clarisonic actually make a brush and device designed for that area (called the opal) but even though the Clarisonic is usually gentle enough on the rest of the face that people use it daily, I wouldn't use it in that area. The under eye area is so delicate that I think even the Clarisonic would be too rough for it. That's just my two cents though.

Clarisonic is truly worth every penny! It cleared up my skin after about a week and the brush leaves your skin feeling good after you use it.
