Oily skin / shiny skin?

When I put my foundation on, then my powder, it looks good in the morning. In the middle of the day my skin gets shiny/ oily looking. I really need some tips on what brand of makeup to buy? Or suggestions of what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

I have really oily skin... I use milk of magnesia as a primer and its amazing for controlling oil... then if I wear foundation I use revlon colorstay whipped and set it with maybelline dream matte powder... after that I spray my face with model in a bottle setting spray (the original) and my makeup stays all day!! barely any oil... and if I do get oily I use my blotting paper which is a must for oily skin!
