I was helping my friend clean her room and she was getting rid of old clothing she didn't want anymore and gave me this dress. I'm just not sire what I'd wear it for also it's too long in the back to the point where it drags on the ground what should I do?

Heels can help with the dragging but I swear wear it out on a hot summer day or when you go on a hot date or something - what is the fabric is it like a chiffon or something?
