As they say practice makes perfect! It takes some people longer than others to perfect certain things when it comes to make up. Watch videos on YouTube or ones that are on here - apart from the look they are creating they will show you different techniques and loads of other tips.

Dee you'll get there you just take one step at a time. I've been in it for over 20 years and I still continue to learn and keep pushing.See in my mind Makeup is not limited it's Limitless and I believe with that thought in mind Practice doesn't make you perfect it makes you willing to learn more always improving your skill.Never feel settled into a look as if you nailed it because your growth in makeup will set stale and you'll get lost on the same routine and looks. If you notice everyone is in an actual Lock down when you look at video's or picture's it's extremely repetitive of the same thing. The challenge is to get yourself out of that rut and use every inch of your creativity even if it's looking at a rock and getting inspired by it,Just go with it and try your best to get a look or technique down.Read makeup books look at everything possible but keep in mind that most pic's are edited so don't think your always doing it wrong because in fact you could be doing it right. Don't get clouded with edited pic's be reasonable with the reality of makeup and application.Hope this made sense, Good luck & Keep it Limitless :)

I honestly don't think I'm good I always find things I can do 100 times better there's always room for improvement but I have improved with time an practice and lots of patience books are a great way to learn how to do things I stay away from you tube cuz there's a lot of misinformation being told out there and what has helped me a lot is asking questions here on beautylish, jackie and alma are the most helpfull people on this site and have tought me so much I wouldnt have improved so much if it wasnt for them I'm truly greatful that this site has these two professional makeup artists who share there professional advice and wisdom this doesn't mean I don't appreciate other members in this site I do everyone is such a big help from helping with rules or looks everyone contributes and thats what makes this site great.

I think I started to get better at it only about a couple months ago. I'd say I'm still improving everyday. I learn most of it from YouTube and this app!

Thats a very subjective question. Its like asking how long a piece of string is.
Practicing will always help, so will researching. Research techniques, products, brands, colour theory, why you're doing what you're doing. Books are good too :)

I'd definitely recommend watching YouTube videos. I just started wearing makeup two years ago, and that was basically how I learned to apply makeup without looking like a hot mess. Also, practice makes perfect! :)

Makeup is an art, that you gradually get good at. I have been down because I have been trying to do an animal smokey eye, and it just doesn't look right, but I just have to keep trying and hopefully will get better. Reading a lot and watching plenty of tutorials, got me to where I am today, and I think I am good. :)
