Just need some opinions here! I see all these posts about make up in high school and middle school and what's appropriate in what grade and it just confuses me so much how in my school, make up is banned completely!! :0Not even a bit of concealer is allowed!
Now I don't live in America and I go to Secondary school so I suppose that's a bit different bit we should still be allowed to cover up anything we need to, to be more confident and express our own personality through make up no?? Am I the only one that things this school rule is a bit harsh?

Yeah. Makeup makes a lot of girls feel much more confident (I'm one of them )

School is harsh. It's not fair really, my school is aloud makeup but not LOADSS, and it does have a uniform. 🔫

That's so odd to me, a school that doesn't allow makeup! I can't even IMAGINE what that's like really.
I think it is a bit harsh because as Dimphy said a lot of girls feel much more confident with makeup. Whatever kind of makeup that may be.

Well I kind of understand. School is a place to get education and it's not a beauty contest. I wouldn't have a problem with makeup being banned because I see girls getting bullied because they don't wear makeup or some girls get picked on for wearing too much makeup. Same with uniforms, if everyone looks the same then bullying (theoretically) shouldn't be a problem. I do agree it's a bit harsh but I can understand where they are coming from.

If I were in your case, I would show my personality with my hair, and I would work and improve upon how I styled it!

That seems a bit harsh cause make up makes girls feel more confident like me I can never go out in public if I don't have mascara on and that's all I wear. How do they know that you don't have any make up on?

I understand your frustration. A way you could get around it is by wearing a colour correcting primer for blemishes and a mattifying primer on the t-zone, clear brow gel or wax on your brows, Eyelash curler and clear mascara. For the lips you could wear a matte lip balm.

I think that it is not really cool for no makeup, but everyone needs to feel comfortable in their own skin, thats probably why.
