Make sure you don't scratch at your scalp! I'm not sure if it actually makes it worse or just breaks it up and makes flakes more prevalent, but either way.

I been using tea tree oil and it hasn't been working anymore. Do I need to apply the oil directly on the scalp or on the hair?

Massage into the scalp! You need a clarifying shampoo that has tea tree oil in it as well or try selsun blue

Forgot to add I've been using the shea moisture line the African black shampoo and it works pretty good.
