How to hold a curl?

I usually braid my hair and it stays curly only for a short amount of time before it gets frizzy, I use olive oil or jojoba oil, also has anybody tried this technique and how did it work.

I also tried that and it was AWFUL. My hair also doesn't hold a curl very well either, so I feel your pain.

When curling your hair, hairspray it and then let go.
