Do you use anything like special or specific to contour with or do you just use a darker foundation?

I use a contouring powder. or you can use a bronzer that has no shimmer. You can use a face powder thats a few shades darker than your skin tone. And you can use a darker foundation, just make sure to blend well (with all of them lol)
I hope that this helps

An angle brush to contour would definitely be helpful as well as a blending fluffy brush to soften the lines out after. You can use a darker foundation which should be two shades darker than your original however their are contour kits out there. I'd suggest bobbi browns stick foundations as they are creamy and easy to blend. A substitute could be a powder but it'd definitely have to be matte.

I wouldnt use a bronzer, because the whole idea of contouring is to use shadows to define your face. A shadow is grey and quite dull.
This is why using a bronzer will not work, because it is meant to warm up the skintone. So it doesn't have a taupe, grey kinda undertone.
Buy an actual contour powder or cream, because while they are not grey or overly dark, they are the right colour to mimic shadows where you want them (cheekbones etc.)
Hope this helped :-)
