Hello everyone!

So I noticed that my skin has finally changed and Drugstore foundations just don't cut it for me anymore. I am going to a convention in August in Baltimore MD. So hot and humid. I have red combination skin. I need something medium to full/buildable and can last. I was looking at:

- Sephora's airbrush mist
- Cover Fx Natural Finish
- Kat Von D Lock It
- Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation
- HOURGLASS Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation
- KOH GEN DO Aqua Foundation ( I tested it, loved it but saw that it is not good for flash photog.)
- Estée Lauder 'Double Wear'

I tested the Tarte Amazonian clay, Looked bad on my skin and I exfoliate regularly.

I am also leary with Mac and MUFE. But any recommendations would be awesome!

I know I need to head over to Sephora or Nordstrom for some testing, but I wanted to get some comments first.

I'd try MUFE hd or KVD lock it. I have super sensitive dry skin and they both work well for me. I only tried a sample of MUFE but it was good.
The KVD one tends to be super personal on if it melts off in summer though. For me it's lasted all day on +38C weather, but I've read reviews where once people get hot it melts off.

I'd definitely go into sephora and get a bunch of samples though :)

Cover fx, KVD , hourglass and Estée Lauder are all great for my sensitive skin - other brands to consider are Clinique and MUFE is ok on me as long as I don't wear it all day then it's usually fine but I find if I wear it for 8+ hours that it can cause a few breakouts here n there for me but other than that it's fine if I use the formulas that don't have parabens in them.

The KVD would be my suggestion.

Kat Von D Lock It! It won't move at all. But it is very thick, if that doesn't sit well with you I reccomend Estée Lauder double wear.

If you're going somewhere hot, and you need long wear foundation, I'd suggest the MUFE HD, or Diorflash. They are both lightweight, breathable, and still plenty of coverage. Also very buildable. I would highly suggest staying away from the KVD lock it this time... From my personal experience, It's suuuuuuuper heavy and thick, and will suffocate your poor skin in the heat and humidity. It also melts in the heat, so bear that in mind. Same goes for the Estée Lauder double wear... Not to mention the SPF makes you photograph like a ghost. I'm assuming you probably don't want that if you'll be cosplaying and being photographed haha

What are you cosplaying at Otakon? I'm going to! Or are you going to Bronycon?

Last year I wore MUFE HD Foundation with the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer and sprayed some of the UD All Nighter on my face and my makeup was good all day.

It off your list I would try the Estée Lauder Double Wear.

Thank you everyone! the KVD looked good, but I think it will definitely be a little too thick for me.
So I think my top 3 are
- Sephora Perfection Mist ( Similar to Dior Airflash, but half the cost)
- MUFE HD
- Cover FX

Thank you again!

Oh! I am only going to Otakon, and I am cosplaying Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura. The Second Movie, the gown she wore in the play.

OH! What are everyone's thought on UD's Naked Foundation?

I love it! It's a very light weight foundation and my go to for when I do wear foundation.

And I'm doing Sakura next year, I'm just not sure which outfit yet.

If anything, I'd get the Hourglass primer. That stuff will make ANYTHING stay.

Thank you everyone!
One more question, what do you use for Dark Circles?
I hear Ben Nye Banana, or peach for Dark Circles and Facial Flushing.
