Anyone have thoughts or opinions on cliniques dramatically different moisturizing gel? I have combo skin sometimes acne prone and a little uneven in tone... Just looking for a great basic moisturizer that's not thick or heavy.

I haven't tried the gel but the original formula broke me out horribly. Like awful, cystic bumps. I would use caution. I don't know if I was just allergic to it or what but it was awful. I have never loved any of Clinique's products sadly. All of their skin stuff I tried was very drying, even on my oily skin. The gel may be different but I think it's more or less the same ingredients so I would get a small sample before buying a whole bottle.

The funny thing is that I think I got a mini bottle of the original formula as a free gift and would use it on and off and it was fine. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly though lol or they changed their formula or something.

I use the Clinique 3 Step Anti Blemish Kit but I started to get dry patches on my forehead and cheeks, on their advice I added Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel, but it still wasn't moisturising enough, so without consulting again I bought the lotion, but then that started breaking me out. I then went back again, they recommended that I bring the Gel and Lotion back, and even though they were used I could exchange them for the Moisture Surge Intense, so I did and my skin has never been better. The Moisture Surge Intense is more expensive but in my opinion definitely worth it.

I got it and I also have oily/combination and acne prone skin. I am currently also using some acne spot treatments. So I'll ice cetaphil at night and in the morning I use my clinique. Honestly it's great. It makes your skin so smooth!! :) I haven't broken out and I've been using it for about 3 months. It's a good basic moisturizer. :)
