When I had my only really bad sunburn (I never burn either) the pain lasted a few days. it hurt so bad for my skin to touch anything! definitely put aloe vera on it. mine turned into a tan.

Aloe Vera does help. Just make sure it's 100% aloe and contains no alcohol

Use aloe! they make a certain aloe that also prevents peeling!
