I put this under style because I'm wondering what I should wear on the plane (my daughter will be on my lap!) and also as far as makeup goes, I was going to keep mine in my carry on.. because I don't want my shadows to break.. any airport tips on what NOT to bring? lol and also of course the must haves?
Cali here we come. Wooohooo :)

Its not a long flight at all, but I have a stop in LA for 2.5 hours (omg I hate LAX airport!)

Don't bring any creams or liquids in your carry on. they'll give you a hard time about that. your shadows should be okay tho.
also, wear comfortable things. I usually just wear sweats & a comfortable tee (: especially if you'll have your daughter with you.

Wear something light but warm such as leggings and maybe a large top or a tank with a light sweater/cardigan
Then make sure you drink a lot of water and light makeup

Avoid jeans bcuz some of my friends that travel have worn jeans and their legs swell up a bit an it makes the jeans tight and uncomfortable.

I have worn jeans with no problem but if your daughter is on your lap it might b safer to avoid.

I agree with everyone. Comfort is key. My daughter and I have gone on plenty of flights together and we always wear comfy clothes. some cute sweats, sneakers and a matching t, hair up and natural makeup looks sporty or leggings, flats and a light sweater are cute and casual. As far as makeup I'd just keep it simple. Do it before your flight and maybe just bring mascara or a liner and lipstick to touch up. Also, try to wear layers as the flights can go from hot to cold in an instant. Just try to pack as light as possible and remember everyone will be too busy staring at your cute little girl to notice faded concealer anyway! If youre comfortable, she'll take the hint and you'll both have an easier flight!

Oh and lip balm. A tinted one would be better cuz it gets dry on the plane.

Both my parents work at the airport and I'll tell you a trick about your makeup bag, you can have regular sized crèmes and liquids as long as they're makeup products. Take your makeup bag out of whatever bag it's already in and place it on the security belt and it'll be fine. My mom's a flight attendant and does this all the time and I as well, speaking I'm on a plane every two weeks. Also, don't worry about your powders, they'll be fine. Enjoy your flight!

Must-haves: makeup/cleanser wipes, setting spray 3.4oz, lip balm or stain with SPF, travel size mascara, shadow stick for lining or all over lid. Hope that helped :-)

Avoid jewelry, belts, shoes with laces...when I travel I like to keep my important cards like debit/credit/ID and cash on me in a smaller purse and put my big chunky purse in my suitcase. Cuts down on the weight. I put on light foundation (sometimes just concealer) and maybe mascara but I usually sleep the entire time so I never do my makeup nicely.

You cannot carry on any liquid containers over 3.0 fl. Oz. and you cannot have more than a zip lock bag full of them - so keep that in mind if you are carrying on any liquid makeup/skin care products - the best thing is to go on the airline website to see their specific rules for carry on luggage
