Tip: wear what you like. Don't care what anyone else says. That's what I did in high school, and it worked for me. The important thing is that you wear what makes you happy and comfortable.

Hey now, with all due respect, if crazy makeup makes her happy, she has every right to wear it. I certainly did in high school. Maybe times have changed in the last 7 or so years, but I never, ever wore foundation or powder, or did my brows, or any of that. I was all about the wild colors and craziness. As long as it makes you happy, wear it.

Exactly :) so if it makes her happy, let her be unique. That's the fun part of high school: doing what you like and finding the friends that won't judge you for it.

You go, MaKenzie! And of course, on the opposite side, I have nothing against neutral makeup and if that's what makes you happy then certainly wear that. The nice thing about neutral makeup is that it helps you get the basics (like blending and application) down before you start experimenting in colors. That's the thing. Makeup is self expression, and it's about what YOU are comfortable with. That's all. High school is exactly the right time to start figuring out who you are and what you like.

Looking fierce!
I agree, play with make up!! Especially crazy gorgeous colors.
I wish I could have in highschool but I had to wake up at 5am so I definitely was not thinking about what color combo to do... or what to even wear.
As for tips..
Definitely bring whatever essentials you may need to touch up! Whether it's a mirror, tweezers, your mascara, foundation or lipstick.
I always wipe off my lippie when I'm about to eat so that I don't make a mess out of it and then reapply it afterwards.
Make up remover wipes may come in handy as well incase a product gets everywhere or its time to sweat your butt off in PE.
If you are more of a face make up gal than I recommend keeping up with a good skin care routine.
Don't touch your face without cleaning your hands because school's are dirty and boys touch everything and never wash their hands and probably never will :(
