Please help! Job shadow outfits?

My week long job shadow starts tomorrow. I have no idea what to wear. It's supposed to be 88 degrees tomorrow and throughout the week. Is it appropriate to wear leather sandals/flip flops? The company is air conditioned but I have to take the bus and walk through downtown in the heat. I'm probably going to wear a dress on two of the days but I don't know how to dress nicely without sweating. Outfits and pictures would be a great help.

Something like this but you can wear like white sandals.
