Hope D.
I'm that girl-next-door in the middle of my of my weird teenage years. I'm 15 and have been influenced by the world of makeup throughout my life.
About a year ago, my mom showed me her own daily makeup routine which mainly includes...
1) A washed face
2) Applied liquid foundation
3) Apply powder
So of course, being the new girl to the world of foundations I purchased the products my mother used.
Six months into using this makeup routine I started to notice that after application my blemishes were hidden and my skin was even and toned, but throughout the day laugh line creases would show and my face would appear to be oily as the day went on.
After continual use of this routine my face would steadily break out more often.
Now it's Summer and I haven't worn a swipe, buff, wipe, or rub of makeup since. My skin is slowly looking naturally healthier again and my eyelashes and growing back in from my abusive eye products.
When I go back to school in the fall, is there any way I can keep this problem from repeating? I want to look my best and most of all feel my best when catching my bus in the mornings.
I need advice. Thank you,
Hope

Cetaphil is great for sensitive skin. It cleared up my skin in a couple of weeks

Try to figure out what ingredients were causing the breakouts for me synthetic preservatives like parabens and a few others make me break out horribly - you can check ingredients for irritating ingredients at cosdna.com otherwise try more natural makeup brands that are noncomedogenic like tarte, almay, juice beauty, urban decay and other brands just do some research before purchasing products or using them on your face.

Also you don't have to start with a heavy foundation - try a bb cream to start that includes SPF and moisturizer all in one and then you can set it with a small amount of loose powder and go from there.
