I've never had or tried any mac products..and I'm wondering if I should spend money on any of these products.

I would spend money on the Mac foundations they have really good coverage.

I would recommend the pro longwear concealer! It last all day and doesn't crease or smudge. It's also full coverage without looking cakey. I also like their fix+ spray to set my makeup and get rid of any powderyness or flakeyness.

With every line they all have hits and misses. What works for one might not work for another. What was absolutely bombs for me are the foundations, MSF's and concealers, mascara. My MAC hits...lipsticks, lipglass and blushes, brushes #217, small angeled blush brush and a flat shadow brush. And a few of the eyeliners.

I love their strobe cream, mac prolongwear concealer, lipsticks, #217 brush and the prep & prime lip its perfect if you like to wear matte lipsticks because it won't dry out your lips and it'll wear longer.

I also have a few products from Mac. I am enjoying my ruby woo, paint pot and fix+. I have their carbon eyeshadow, but it has not wowed me, so I will nt be trying out anymore of their shadows anytime soon!

Eyeshadows...you definitely have to play around with those in person and look up reviews for individual shades because while there are some true gems some are just not worth it. Especially if just starting out in make-up...you want something that is going to be easy to work with not something requiring serious effort.

Definitely agreeing with Shelly. I have like 8 Mac eyeshadows and probably half of them aren't the best, kinda chalky or don't blend well, or you have to really pack it on to see color (they're still fine, and I use them) and half are so easily blend able, go on perfectly and have no fallout. It's very hit and miss.
I do love their lipsticks and lip liners, but the mattes can be drying and it depends on the formula.

#217 is my favorite multi purpose brush. Their face and body foundation is my favorite and I love their pro longwear concealer. Their skinfinish in lightscapade and soft n gentle are amazing as well (:

I feel like the odd ball out on this one because I am not a fan of MAC concealer or foundations of any kind. They are wildly popular though. I will buy any MAC matte lipstick! I have almost all MAC lipsticks. Love them! MAC lip pencils aren't bad either. Their shadows take building to get real pigment from most their shadows. I have more MAC shadows than any other brand. I love them but they aren't the easiest to get pigment out of. I love the way they make shadows to compliment each other though. I LOVEEE the MAC Paint Pots, specifically Soft Ochre and Painterly. MAC lashes are some of my favorites. The Prep&Prime line and the Fix+ setting spray get 5 stars from me! Love it!! Love their powder blushes! Brushes are perfect! Someone mentioned the 217, it's a must have! I'm a MAC girl so check out my looks because I use mostly MAC makeup, to get an idea of the looks you can achieve using MAC.

I'm with Shelley and Stephanie. Hits-painterly paint pot, Msfn, fix+ and lippies. Aside from brushes (which I don't have) I could do without pretty much every other product ESPECIALLY foundation :/

I love their brushes, foundations, concealers and powders. Some lipsticks are really worth the money too. I wasn't impressed with the eyeshadows neither by the mascaras (they're good, but just as good as some other cheaper brands)

The Lightfall cleanser is good; it makes your skin feel really clean without being dry. The fix + is good for setting foundation, adding moisture at night or for a refresher during the day. I'm getting into their shadows now...so far so good. Plus there's lots of YouTube tutorials using them. My first foundation was the MAC studio fix powder. Great coverage and easy to wear. The 217 is mandatory. Mascaras...ehhh. Blushes...I own a couple...nothing spectacular. I'm wearing their Studio Sculpt foundation right now...it's good for dry skin.

Their lipstick is definitely worth the money and noticeably superior to drugstore ones. Also, prolong wear concealer is such a unique formula with good coverage and a non-cakey finish.

I love the foundation but lipsticks I found were just ok ( better than cheaper brands definitely ) I honestly haven't tried any of their other products.
