Moisturize your ends and then apply the oil. Also deep condition your hair at least once a week and make sure to use a moisturizing leave in conditioner.

There are lot's of oils you can try here, macadamia oil is a really good example :)
Just wash your hair with your favourite shampoo + conditioner, once you done put some macadamia oil through your ends and then blow dry. You will feel/ see the difference if you are using it everytime.
