I saw this DIY that said to mix 2 parts baking soda and 1 part water for an at home microdermabrasion. Is this true? Does this work? When I saw this I automatically thought maybe it wasn't true and I questioned how safe that was anyways. Have any of you tried this? I probably won't try this but I was just curious.
Thank you beauties (:

Baking soda should never touch anyone's face the chemicals in it are not heathy for your skin

@Jacqlyn , oh I'm sorry /: that doesn't sound good. I've seen things about it working with some people but I just had a feeling it might be a bad idea

@Mandie, It's a face peel that takes a layer off your face. Lol the way I explained it sounds horrible but it's helpful for those who have acne scaring or uneven skin tone.

@Renay, Lol okay I'm just not going to even think of the baking soda idea. Lol it helped neither of you so I'm letting this go. Thank you though because you and Jacqlyn actually tried this and I believe you guys (:

@Krystal Thank you girl. I've seen no success stories on this post so I'm not going to even think about putting it on my face lol.

I mean I personally haved used it and I loved it. It exfoliated my skin enough where I saw a decrease in my blackheads especially on my nose where they can be a bit deeper. I have oily combo skin and one summer I just got really bad dry patches on my cheeks, I used the baking soda and it helped out. My skins I guess a bit more on the tougher side so if you have sensitive skin I don't know if this would be the DIY for you. I had success but yeah.

I used to use it all the time and I liked it. It left my skin super smooth and soft. But at that time I didn't know it was harmful to the skin. I personally didn't see any harm done. Only once I tried it as a mask and it burned my skin off lol. But it worked nice as a scrub. I don't use it anymore though because it can be too harsh for my acne prone skin. :)

I have a bit of eczema on my arms and quite a few dermatologists have suggested baking soda. They say it removes bacteria, anyways I tried it and it really helped! Though honestly I'm not to sure about applying it on the face :(

@Dorthea, unfortunately I do have somewhat sensitive skin, it's more combination but I'm glad you found success in using baking soda.

@Llesenia, Wow well maybe it's better for smaller areas. I've seen a tutorial for baking soda on the nose to help with blackheads like how Dorthea explained. Thank you for sharing and I LOVE how you spell your name (:

@Marina, Oh cool! Maybe I'll try the baking soda as a last resort kind of thing to clear up blackheads and things like that since it seems to be harsh. But I'm happy it helped you, my best friend has eczema and maybe I'll tell her to ask her dermatologist about using baking soda also!
