Do you have a wand? What I do is wrap the hair around it & when I think it's ready I don't let the hair fall out of the stick like I would do with my natural hair, I let the spiral fall into the palm of my hand & let it cool on the shape of a spiral, & then let it fall off the palm of your hand & taddaaa, kind of hard to understand but that's the best explanation I could do lol.

Mine is probably an inch and a half. and I wrap my hair I wouldn't say "tight" but enough that my hair is actually touching the barrel.. if you want more of a boho wave don't curl the ends.. leave about an inch of hair from the bottom off the wand. it'll look more like the second look.

Hey! I have extensions too, and when I want boho/waves I actually do sleep in my extensions. I sleep in flexirods, and the shape and size of them determines how your hair looks in the AM.
