I have pretty much straight up blonde hair and I wanted to go a little more strawberry blonde and was wondering if I could use red rooibos tea to make reddish "tint" but I don't know if it would work or how long it would last. Does anyone have experience with dyeing hair with tea/ know anything about it?
Thanks!!

Are there any other natural ways to dye it so it will last long? My mom doesn't want to pay for me to get it done and I don't want to pay that much either :/

Thanks Maria! I think tomorrow I will try to do the tea thing with either a honey chamomile or a coconut red chai depending on which has a more red shade too it, if it works I might post something on here about it! :)

Thanks kitty! I think I will try a red tea tonight and If it washes out quickly (I assume it will) I will try coffee! Any special kind I need to make for it to be red/strawberry blonde?

I'm not too sure. I use black tea to maintain my hair pitch black. I mix it in with all my hair products as well and put it in a spray bottle.
I actually used the Coffee to see if it would help maintain it black and I ended up with red hues.

How did you mix it with shampoo/conditioner? I made very strong red tea and put in my hair and let it sit for about 45 -50 minutes and then rinsed and conditioned and nothing happened:( are there ways to make it last longer and actually tint the hair better? Thanks so much! :)
