I don't know what to do but isn't rebonding the most damaging thing you can do to your hair :o.

I honestly do not know...
it's been a month since I've been rebonded my hair and it was my first time actually. Nothing has happened my hair feels a lot more softer and it's still straight Colette F.

Where did you rebond it?

I have a really good/bad experience with rebonding, and I REGRET it.
First of all, it's just a TEMPORARY straightening system, for 1-3 months and then your natrual hair will grow and it gets worse because the hair growth comes out frizzy curly n unmanageable.
I rebonded my hair from 2006-2010, so 4 times in 4 years, the Philippines was the only place I did it. I go vacay every year in April
So the first time my aunty recommended it n that it's beautiful n my hair will be straight.
At the time I couldn't disagree because I wanted that straight smooth feel that I seen with the other Filipinos who rebonded too.
So I did it n turned out very straight, but months past I noticed my new growth was curly frizzy almost thick damaged hair.
So my mom bought a straightener for me to not let the new growth be so visible! to where as I can just straight the curly part.
HUGE MISTAKE!! Because chemically treated hair plus heat was very bad but I didn't know it then. I was embarrassed to go to school with two inches of my new growth curly n the rest is straight from the rebond. I kept it like that for a year, flat ironing it.
Next vacay 2007 In the Philippines I was desperate to fix my hair, so I was told this other salon who could fix it, by rebonding it over again the right way, I was confused I didn't know there was a right way to rebonding. So I went ahead and let them do it. Then again the results were the same the curly frizzy was gone n months past again n still no sign of bad new growth.
I was beginning to think hey it's not so bad, but then I noticed everyday my hair started to fall out, not much but it was daily. It scared me cus I can feel my hair getting thin n thinner. I'm Filipino too and I have the full thick hair.
I wanted to cry bad, I can't explain why I went back the others years to rebond again but 2010 was the last time I ever rebond cus tht was my wedding day.
My point is don't rebond again, it's super damaging, 5-7 hours of chemicals in your hair is killing it every minute.
Right now I'm growing out my natrual hair, I stopped flat ironing it, dyeing it n just treating it better than ever.
I deep condition every week, let it air dry, hair masks, rinse with cold water, n mostly all the good things.
Right now I grown about 2'inches of my natrual hair in 2 months by doing the healthy steps everyday.
I can feel the difference of my damaged hair versus my natrual healthy hair, I can't wait to show the final results n success to growing out the rebond damaged hair.
My advice to you :) goodluck
