To de-pot, or to not de-pot?! (MAC eye shadows) HELP!! (:

Hey, guys!

So I've recently been trying to decide whether I should de-pot my MAC eye shadows out of their casings and put them in a palette! I've always thought it would be cool to do that, but I also feel like I like them individually as well!

The new MAC palettes that have just come out, however, are really sleek and cool looking and I like the idea!

I just thought I would ask you all and see what you think is better! Thanks!

Make sure that if you do it, you're very careful! I really messed up one of my favorite MAC shadows when I depotted it, to the point where I had to repress the shadow and I can't even put it in my palette now. And it was a limited edition shade, so I can't replace it :(. I've also messed up some of my other shadows depotting, but none that bad. Despite all that, I'm glad I depotted my shadows because I much prefer to have them all in palettes rather than digging through my single shadow collection. Just makes it a whole lot easier to find what I need and store everything more compactly.

You could also look into z palettes!!! Idk about the new Mac ones but the old ons used to waste so much space.

Great suggestions, you guys!

Courtney, that's a concern I have! I'm concerned that if I depot them and then pic them up out of the palette just in the pans, I'll end up dropping and breaking them! I've messed up an "All that Glitters" in the pot and had to re-press, so I'm worried I'll do that to the pans since they seem like they'd be a little harder to hold on to!

Alyssa, I've seen some of those and will definitely look into them more! I know that now the new MAC ones come without a divider, so they work like a z-palette and then if you want, you can buy the divider to put in them to hold the 15 eye shadows!

Sarah, thanks for your input! That's one of the main reasons why I've been contemplating to de-pot! (:
