Caking up has to do with a lot of things
- too much product
- skin hot well prepped
- not blended
- using wrong tool for blending
- wrong foundation for your skin type
- not letting foundation before layering

The peach fuzz on your face, (the invisible hairs) can cling to the powder and foundation sometimes making make up look cakey.
