Anyone have any tips for natural curly hair? I have naturally curly hair and have to put some form of product in it or it gets really frizzy. I've been using herbal essence volumizing mousse and that seems to keep it under control the best but half of my hair isn't curling right. One side is really curly and the other is just kinda wavy. I have a side part and would like to keep that if anyone was thinking that changing that would take away some weight off one side and help it curl up

I use organic root stimulated mouse it does not dry hard like regular mouse it leaves your hair very soft and moisturize looking if that helps or I use garnier frutis leave in conditioner or after I shower I use a pea size of soy bean oil purchased at Sally's and I put it all over my wet hair and dries without frizz this is what works for my curly frizzy hair

As for the side parting part me too one side looks extra curly I notice that's if I shake my hands between my hair while it still wet prevents the strands from being so close together resulting in flat waves I usually put my head upside down and shake my finger through my hair and flip my hair back and let it air dry now this is after I put the product I am using in my hair I usually mix up my hair products

I usually let my hair air dry too, I usually put my mousse in starting upright and just spread it through my hair and not comb it in all the way then I flip my head over so I'm upside down and then comb in the rest of the mousse. That used to work but it hasn't been doing the same thing lately. I'm not really big on buying anything special to help it though. Like anything that you can get at a drug store or Walmart or something is for me!

I find mousse makes my hair look a lot less natural. I only use shine serum or de-frizzing cream.

And this is the side that won't cooperate. No it isn't dyed differently its just how it looks in the light. As you can tell its frizzy and not curly. I tried scrunching that and it didnt work out at all

I have the same problem too! The best thing I can say is to scrunch gel at the roots and frizz fighting cream and the body and ends. This will lift it up at the roots without weighing it down. And I also resist from styling with my hands too much. The less you touch it as it air dries, the less frizz you'll get. Hope this helped!

I don't have naturally curly hair, but my niece does! She uses the Moroccan oils and creams to like keep the curls bouncy and in tact. Hope this helps (:

If you apply your mousse in 4 or 5 sections, it will give it even application. Also, instead of washing and conditioning your hair every time you shower, try just deep conditioning it. And sometimes if you blow dry it, you can make it go the way you want easier. Blow dry it on low, and try scrunching it then. When it's dry, scrunch a bit of hairspray into it. Don't know how much it'll help but good luck! :)

I have fine hair but veryyyy curly, so I let my hair curl while its even on both sides so it all curls up & then part it once its dried. It looks more full & much curlier.

Also if you're paranoid about that side, you might be messing w/ it more, & it might be too much I've found the less I touch it the curlier it gets

Do NOT shampoo everyday! You can condition though....the main thing that got my curls beautiful again was realizing this!

Yesterday I tried a cream gel rather than my mousse and I also tried putting some anti frizz product while it was still pretty wet then used a turbie twist then did the cream gel and hair sprayed what I liked and tried to scrunch the bad side but obviously that didnt work. After that my hair was still a little wet so I tried the no heat curling in the one video on here and it actually turned out pretty nicely. I just don't have time to do that if I'm going to school in the morning and my curls don't stay through sleeping right
