Agreed with jacqlyn. I can only use two foundations, so I don't think there's a "best" in general but there's your favorites.
I use either KVD lock it tattoo foundation or tartes Amazonian clay foundation. I also don't use powder since I have dry skin.

Current favorite is BareSkin by BareMinerals as well! Powder is DermaBlend's translucent setting powder. Everyone's "best" foundation is going to be different :) it'll be fun seeing what everyone loves!

Dry and I don't like a Matte finish, but for my concealer I set it with hourglass ambient lighting powder. I have the palette and it's INCREDIBLE

I don't have a best foundation but I will back up the girls that said Naked Skin, it is a beautiful foundation. Feels like moisturiser, good coverage, looks like skin and doesn't oxidise.

As a person who loves a light coverage and dewy finish the YSL touche eclat, Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation and Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser top my list of favourite bases.
I then like to set my t-zone with a bit of Soap and Glory's One Heck of a Blot and then use a bit of Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray.
