I have an appointment at a salon Friday to get my hair cut and styled, but I just can't find the perfect shade. I know I want some shade of red, but I need help finding the right one. Could you ladies help? I also don't want it to be super bright, so I was thinking of a shade with brown. Any ideas?

Like this? I used box dye to achieve this color, it gave my hair a really pretty red tint :)

I love that Bella, I think it is slightly too bright for me, but it looks amazing on you!

If Bella's if too bright, which I think it is very dark, you may just want to tell the stylist you want a very subtle red tint. Otherwise Leslie's looks really good, but is a little purple. If you don't already have really dark brown hair it may be hard to achieve that. When I had red, it was pretty bright, and my hair before that at the time was still very dark.

Thank you! :) the thing about it is when I wasn't in light, it looked like a normal brown and you can barely see the red but when I was in any light or sunlight BAM there was a lot of red and I loved it :) so maybe you can asked the stylist for a red tint over brown hair :)

This would be perfect for you 😍😍 and it's brownish red but more light brown.

Thank you ladies :) I think I might have to do that then. My hair is light, so I think having a red tint over brown is the safest thing to do :) this is super helpful!

Oh, sweet lol. Well I don't know what line your stylist will be using, so it's hard to suggest the actual shade. Just show her this, and ask for a warm brown-red shade. No need to do a tint ober brown, I'm sure you can achieve this in a single application.

Thank you so much Alli :) and I like that too Hollie, would it still look OK if I went a bit darker than the picture?

It definitely would! Keep in mind it does look a lot redder in the sun than it does in other lighting and personally, I love that but I'm just giving you a heads up :) you should tell the hairdresser a deep auburn red which was the color I got before I went a little brighter

If you type in red hair on Pinterest you will find some beautiful copper colors that I think would be more in the brown family. Make sure you bring pictures to be sure that both you and the stylist are picturing the same thing. I would post those pics from Pinterest here but I don't actually know how to. (Email to myself and then post here?) I can't wait to see the end result!

Thanks Jane! And on pinterest there is an option to save the picture to your device :) then you can just post it from your album :)
